Canyoning in Alpes Maritimes in the canyon of Aiglun

The Canyon of Aiglun, considered as Riolan’s little brother, is located in the Alpes Maritimes. This canyon has the singularity of being always watered and usable all along the summer.

You will enjoy a very playful and athletic trail.

Located on the municipality of Aiglun, the canyon is 50 minutes drive away from Castellane and the Verdon Gorges. If you come from Nice and the Cote d’Azur, a 1 hour drive will take you to the canyon.

Description Canyoning : Canyon of Aiglun

The Clue d’Aiglun is a sports trail for people in good physical shape and confortable in the water. You must take in consideration that there is no escape possible until the end of the trail.

Please note also that all the participants might not have the same meeting spot or timing in order to dispatch the shuttle between the departure and the arrival of the trail.

Once we settle the shuttle between the participants, your certified instructor will give you all the equipment you need for this trail. The equipment provided includes a full neoprene wetsuit (with neoprene socks), a helmet, a harness with double safety lanyards, a kit containing a bag and a waterproof container in order to carry your personal belongings and your meal during the descent of the Clue d’Aiglun.

You will start with a 45 minutes walk along a beautiful path to finally reach the Esteron stream and the departure of the trail.

Then your instructor will help you suit up and give you all the safety instructions to perform this canyoning descent in the best conditions.

The first section of the canyon combined long swims in narrow passages, jumps and abseils to finally access the heart of the canyon.

You will reach a gigantic circus filled with sunlight where you will be able to stop for lunch, surrounded by a beautiful landscape.

The second part of the Clue d’aiglun is composed of several tight passages among crumbled rocks punctuated by jumps and abseils.

For the last part, you will discover a more open but stil very playful ground.

You have reached the end of the Clue d’Aiglun and a steep path will quickly lead you to your vehicles.
